Got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday. Big thanks to Jason at Immortal Ink in Boulder, Co who helped me through all my indecisiveness.
As a little girl I had always loved this song. I had a stuffed animal that would sing me “You are my sunshine”. I would always hold it close to me and listen to it whenever I felt sad or lonely.
Done by Duffy Dillard (my dad) at American Ink Tattoo in Chattanooga, TN.
The quote is from a Neutral Milk Hotel song and the bug at the bottom is a Junebug because that’s my nickname and this quote really resounds within me because I have always been one to say a word too many times until it doesn’t sound like a word, or look at myself in the mirror until I don’t see a person.
This was Paskuhan 2011. We didn’t enjoy this as much as the paskuhan in the 2 previous years. is it just us or it is really boring this year? we are thinking that we are just stressed out because of loads of requirements in class… but some says we must enjoy it more because it is start of stress-free week. arrrghh i hope next year (my last paskuhan as a student) would be great.

This tattoo is an optical illusion that I took to heart. If read, it says “Liar” but if turn your head and look at it you will see a face.
The part I took to heart is that you can either see people for who they are at face value or for the liars they can become.

This is my second and latest tattoo taken today, 3rd of august 2011. It was taken by Kristina at Solid Tattoo in Stavanger, Norway. Kristina said she usually doesn’t recommend getting wrist-tattoos facing this way, but i was being kinda stubborn about it. I just adore it.
The symbol is the symbol of the Deathly Hallows from the Harry Potter series. The symbol has replaced the A in the last sentence of the last book. I got the inspiration for this from Albus Dumbledore, who has also used the Deathly Hallows symbol as the A in his name.
The epilogue of the last book occurs 19 years after the defeat of Voldemort. I chose to get this tattoo done 19 days after the premiere of the last film because of this. Added the punctuation last minute because it seemed fitting (even though fans know this isn’t really the end!).
The font used is scanned from the Bloomsbury publication of the book and enlarged. Just because. :) I don’t mind if it isn’t a 110% replica, but as you can probably already tell, i’m kinda crazy, so i just wanted to get that done on principle.
